I have been tuned out on Medium for several years. Its a shame because I used to love writing on here back in 2017-2018 timeframe. Like REALLY love it! What did I love about it... I loved that it was a place to grow as a writer and get immediate feedback on my writing. I also loved that I could get noticed by audiences I would never be noticed by otherwise (seriously... I wrote an article on leadership and was invited to speak at a 2,000 person conference). I didn't go of course... because well... I wasn't ready for that. I was just a small time writer trying to figure things out. But here is my point... and I hope Medium reads this. Medium exists for one thing... writers. That's it. It exists to help writers "get better" and "get noticed." All this other "relational medium stuff" is just them losing their way--trying to be like other platforms and at the same time losing sight of who THEY are. Good luck Medium.
