When struggling to make big life decisions it can be difficult to know what is the right choice for you. This simple question helped me ‘check in’ with myself when facing the choice to move my family of five to Europe to live as expats or to continue living in our comfy home near relatives in Florida. It was not an easy decision — especially during a global pandemic — but this is what ultimately helped me know what choice was right for me. It silences the noise of any outside opinions and places any short-term consequences in a bigger context, leaving you with only a deep sense of what matters to you and a decision on whether or not you will pursue it.
